Job Description:
As a Technical Writer you will provide assistance in the preparation, review, revision and maintenance of documents to support the organization's mission; write and edit technical documentation for all supported organization's activities; create documentation for operations; produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities – Standard Operating Procedures; create and maintain weekly and monthly deliverables; provide field, data definitions and data flow documentation and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources. You will also be the gatekeeper for all final documentation uploaded into the SharePoint site.
Required Candidate Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Poly Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required. Four (4) years of additional technical writing experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of experience.
Fluency in technical and common office software
An understanding of SharePoint to maintain current internal documentation library
Ability to gather technical documentation and prepare a well written text that creates a story
Experience in preparing and maintaining documentation with configuration management in mind and highly organized
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfortable presenting to the customer
Ability to create, modify styles, create forms and templates
Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
Ability to check all technical material for thoroughness, consistency and accuracy
