Description:
The Systems Engineer 1 will support a collaborative, mission focused team with the following duties
- Read technical documentation and white papers in support of the requirements gathering process.
- Collaborate with both inter-agency and external partners to develop solutions to fulfill customer needs.
- Participate in the entire spectrum of activities that are conducted for a given system which include the identification of need, system design/development, production, operational use, sustainment/support, and system retirement.
- Lead the various reviews that analyze the accuracy/adequacy of test results and audits, assess risk, and determine if the system has sufficient technical maturity to achieve shipment authorization.
- As a site lead/project lead there are various responsibilities that include scheduling and managing all hardware/software deployments and having a firm understanding of all site/project related activities.
Required Experience:
- Seven (7) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
